Finally!!

Peaches now allows me to "pet" her!!! I'm so excited!! :clap I can now rub her head and rub her back and she let's me do it. Sometimes she'll "kinda" grab my fingers while I'm petting her, but she doesn't clamp down. Wasn't really expecting this so soon - honestly wasn't even sure it would ever happen and it didn't really matter because it's just great having her anyway, but i must admit it made my day.:rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

i got peaches in march 07 and she was 5 mos. old. she let me give her scritches in november so it took around 8 mos.!! but she still will give me a "bite" now and then.

:clap that's really awesome! i did the same thing, i called my mom the first time my lovie let me pet him. she's never had a bird so she was like, "ugh, ok, cool?" :rofl: i was like, "you don't understand!!"

it only took francis about a month and a half, but i bothered him EVERYDAY! haha. he still "grabs" me sometimes with no serious clamp. he only likes to be pet when he wants it, i just can't pet him if i want to unless he's feeling especially nice.

it's when he perches on my finger sometimes, he'll cock his head sideways...that's when he REALLY wants it. if i just go after him, he's like, oh no youu diddddn't! :lol

That is great! I'm glad someone's Peaches likes to be petted. My Peaches is still notlovie but that's ok. I love her anyway!

loving them anyway...is the best you can do...and ususally what leads to the scritches..as i had the same attitude when my peaches wouldn't let me pet her. it's really amazing when it happens. she is so totally trusting of my hands now! i still can't believe it. i can even pick her up with my whole hand around her body....in the beginning she would've bitten the "you know what" out of me...lol. and when she sits in my lap she pushes her head under my hand to get scritches, instead of biting my hand. but she still will give me an occassional nip here and there.
