I noticed that my lovie's bottom beak has turned a light greenish color. He is 2-1/2 yrs old. Is this normal? He is a peach-face. His upper beak is bone colored. I'm very concerned about this.....
Thanks,
Gypsy

Mine has that too and he's a little older. He's had it for a while and I've never thought to ask because he's perfectly healthy otherwise. I assume there's nothing wrong with him as I've seen slight discolorations on other birds as well. Don't know what causes it though.

Do you by chance feed your bird anything green..... like broccoli? :)
Friday's beak is coloured funny from time to time, but it's usually just the pigmentation from broccoli, or carrots or whatever richly colored food he's into at the time.

He does eat broccoli & other greens but not daily, so I'm not sure if that's it or not.
He seems happy and healthy so I'm probably worrying for nothing, lol.
