all the reading i do here on this site and learning that i do here tonight while talking to my husband he asked a question i dont know the answer to he told me to come here and read since i am on here so often he was suprised i didnt know the answer already but i havent read anywhere here perhaps i am missing it but anyways here is the question
what area in the world are lovebirds found in the wild? and what are thier natural habitats climate etc?

Africa and they live in arid areas and nest in tree holes.
What i remember is they orginated in africa but can now be found transplanted all over the world like the wild flocks in arizona.

Yes, Africa is where all of the lovebird species originate from, except the Madagascar (guess where they came from? :nyah: ). Each species come from different regions in Africa.

If you want to see where Peachfaced Lovies come from, watch Meerkat Manor on animal planet. The Kalahari desert is in the southern part of their territory. I keep trying to spot one but haven't seen any yet. :whistle:

MJ i could be wrong but the madagascar wouldnt possable come form madagascar would it? lol
nest in tree holes? that makes me wonder would it be ok to actually get a tree hole nesting box or is hat a bad idea?
