i knew someone had asked me if i'd ever been to Strictly Feathers before because they wanted to know if it was any good, well today, i went! it was pretty awesome, and they have TONS of toys, cleaner, food (including lots of fresh pellet and some stuff she told me to feed my bird that starts with a P...it's supposed to be good)...and they have many, many birds! only, i could only find two lovebirds, however, they have beautiful birds, and lots of macaws (which isn't usually the case with other stores i've been to)....

however, check it out! lots of goodies, gotta get my baby the good stuff! but the stuff isn't overpriced at all.

and now i really wish i could remember the name of that stuff that started with a "P"...lots of minerals and vitamins...whatever it is...she reccomended i get it.

Yay! Thanks Emily!! I was the one that had asked you about it. I still haven't been over there to check it out, but I am definitely going to this weekend. :D

I went over the weekend and:omg: I could stay there all day long!! She has so many birds from finches to macaws. I fell in love with this sweet little baby GCC! I was talking to her and she just puffed up and stared at me. I really think she was cooing. :D When I walked away she did this sweet little screech... I want her!!!! Anyhoo, I was concerned, though about a cage in the back of the store with some finches that looked like they were balding. Do they look like that when they are molting or could they have been sick. The price was $4.50 I am guessing that it was for each individual bird, but there were a bunch in the cage that looked like that. The lady that owns the store has great reviews from people so I am doubting that she would knowingly sell sick birds.

yeah, probably not, i read a lot about her as well so i'm not so sure she'd do that. who knows though. i wish they had more lovebirds for me to gawk over. and i'm so excited because all those healthy goodies i bought francis, he's EATING them! i mean, he always eats, but usually he's picky (loves seed tooo much). she said he wouldn't dive right into eating it, but he's doing really well.

I still get so overwhelmed when I look at birdfood. I didn't get any food from the store yet. The owner was very busy and I didn't want to wait :). I will go back later and see if I can get some advice. It is hard when you are standing there looking at all those types of food and have no clue what you are looking at. :D

i know what you mean, i think the name of the stuff francis eats is "sunscription vita". it's what they reccomended he eat when i first got him from that store, and he REALLY likes it. so i just keep buying that. i don't know so much about it, but he seem to like it so good enough!

Sunscription Vitatiel is one of the seeds I give my birds. My vet sells it, Petland sells it and better still, one of my favorite vendors at the bird fairs sells it....for $7.50 per bag instead of $13.00 that the other places charge. :D I like that mix and also Abba and Volkman. I've never found Abba or Volkman at the bird fairs here but one bird specialty store in Atlanta carries both and they are kind enough to order the large Volkman bag for me at 10% over their cost. :D
