Can lovies see each other once and be okay? Would that be better than never seeing another bird or would it be crushing to their little birdie hearts??
I know someone with a lovie, and I thought maybe they could visit... would that be a terrible idea?

When Oliver was an "only" bird, he seemed to enjoy watching lovie videos on the computer. Since he's often on my shoulder when I'm on the computer, he heard a lot of lovie and other parrot sounds. He chirped back to them and didn't seem to be afraid of them.
BUT....I would not risk a "play-date" with another bird because of the possibility of passing an airborne disease. Personally, I would not chance that even if your friends bird is assumed to be healthy. Most bird owners I know (other than the members on this forum) don't take their birds to avian vets or even know that birds are supposed to see a vet just as regularly as a dog or cat would.

That is so true!! I had no clue and I don't think anybody I have spoken to outside of the forum knew either! Plus, wasn't there a case of someone on this forum not to long ago taking their bird to see their friend's birds or something. They found out afterwards that their bird was sick and could have made their friend's birds sick. This would not be a good situation to be in. I am sure she felt horrid and I just know I wouldn't want to be the reason my friend's birds got sick. Though it isn't worth much :D that is my :2cents:.
