so, francis hates getting a bath. he even hates it when i wash my hands when he's hanging out on me. i tried getting him a birdie bath, so he could go on his own, he wouldn't use it. so i have to put him in the sink and splash him. he gets so upset and runs to try to get back on me the entire time. but he's molting so when he's got the itchies, i try to help him out be wet him up.
today he flew on my pants and slid down them and about a foot from the ground fell flat on his bottom. so i'm thinking he's ok...but still  he isn't acting hurt, just kinda upset at me like he always does when it's bath time.
he won't let me pet his little head and he grunted at me when i tried, so i know he's upset. he is sitting in my shirt, occasionally clucking though.
man, he's so ugly when he gets a bath. only a mother could love him!
anyways, i just don't know how i can make bath time enjoyable.:( i'm sad when he's sad. but he usually peps up when he gets dry again. haha.

I have the exact opposite problem with Estrella..everytime he hears water he comes running toward it! Have you tried cooler bath water? Estrella usually prefers it a little on the cool side.

yeah, i've tried warm and cold. doesn't matter. he hates it.
i think i'm just going to start spraying him. the only reason i don't want to do that is because i don't think it would keep him as clean. plus, he'd probably still hate it.

Luna hates water too! It is so odd because one day she actually hopped down my arm to bathe in my hands when I was washing the dishes. That was a one time only situation, though. She hides under my hair when I turn on the faucet. I know she sometimes bathes in her water bowl, but that isn't good enough. I figure she wouldn't like to be sprayed either because I have flicked water from my hands on her and she just squawks at me... Who knows.

It's OK if he doesn't want a bath. :) It's entirely possible he's taking a bath in his water dish when you're not home.
If you think he needs one, have you tried misting him with lukewarm water? Mine love baths but hate being splashed.
For the most part, I don't try to force my birds to get a bath too often. I don't want to ruin their trust in me. But when Milo is acting itchy (genuinely itchy, not the face-scratching that happens before he humps someone / something) he gets a "dunk bath." I fill the sink with tepid water, and gently lower him into the water up to his neck. He really really hates this, but it's quick and does the trick. Melly gets a dunk bath from time to time, too. Then I seriously get attitude from them.

I have that problem too. I swear Ditto thinks he's a duck! Turn on water and he'll fly full speed through 2 rooms to get to it. Then if I make a pool of water with my hands he'll hunker down so only his head is sticking out of the water.

Since Estrella is clipped, rather severely, he literally runs to it! I am usually having to shoo him away from the sink while I am doing dishes, or changing his food and water...I am really afraid he is going to get burned by the hot water! If I set him in the floor, he climbs up my pants leg to get to the sink

I don't blame them for hating being dunked and giving you attitude.

peaches loves getting a bath too..but it has to be when she's ready. what i do every couple of days is take a low dish or plate fill it with water then tap my fingers in it. if she's in the mood she comes over and starts dipping down in the water...she likes it when i "click" water on her and sometimes pour it down her back from my hand. lately, while i'm running water under the sink she'll go down my arm to the faucet and take a drink from it! BUT if she's not in the mood, she just won't come over to play! misting is a good idea if you do it above their head as if they were in the rain. as long as you hold the sprayer far from the top of their head and use a light mist until they're wet through. i had to do this initially when i got peaches until she got where she is now.
