Thanks to everyone for your helpful tips and advice. I've read a lot of the posts and the library but have some concerns.

I've had my first pair for about a month and they are about 4 mos old. It is only my husband and I at home and right now I'm at home all day but that will change soon as I get a new job. I'm thinking I will find a new home for one of my birds for a couple of reasons. I want to tame my bird to hang out with me in my very open floor plan home, but right now am worried about how to get it out of the cage. There seem to be varying ways to accomplish this.

First, should I haul that heavy cage into my small bathroom every day until its trained? And should I get it out by training it to step up on a stick, or should I just put the cage on the floor and leave the door open and let it come out when its ready? I had its wings clipped and I'm afraid that if I let it out in the main part of my house it may fly into something and get hurt and/or hide somewhere and I won't be able to get it back into the cage.

I really like having the pair, but I do want the birds to integrate with my husband and I. But how can I train a pair and how do I get them to only come out of the cage one at a time? I don't want them both out at the same time I don't think. I'm really torn about keep the pair or just having one. Perhaps those of you who have multiple birds can advise on this.

Much appreciated>o
