I was wondering what is the best way to try and train R & J. When they are out they stay together and fly around and play. When i take one out by itself they are to busy contact calling for each other to each eat some millet. What can i do to get them to i guess pay attention long enough to train them. I have even taking one to another room but he just flew back into the room where the cage is. Would a wing clip help? Thanks for your help.

Yep, a wing clip would help, but also try taking them out of hearing contact. It's probably impossible to do that completely, but closing the door will help.
On another note, if these two are bonded, you may have a hard time establishing a one-on-one relationship with either of them, but it can happen. I spend time with each of my lovies alone, and together. Over time, you will find they do enjoy their one-on-one time, but bonded lovies do seem to prefer their like kind if they have on, and I do so love to see mine cuddled up:)

I will try a wing clip and taking one out of ear shot of the other. Yes these two are bonded but little Romeo loves his mommy time. lol My main goal is just to make wing clipping, vet trips and other necessary actions a little easier.

There is several videos on how to sound train your lovie with a clicker and a laser pointer type in lovebird training on youtube and they should pop up.

i saw that and that is what i was sorta leaning towards doing because r&j sure do love their treats but it's just getting them to i guess have a long enough attention span to work on that. lol
