If you guys remember back in the fall chloe tested positive for PBFD. She was part of the group sold out of Petsmart.
Heres an update. PS gave me 2/3 of my vet bills and have been trying to work something out with getting my friends 5 birds tested. (that has been a long painful process thought but it should happen)
The store manager has been in contact and very nice about everything. She actually took one of the sick birds home and cared for it until it passed away from PBFD. She has rescued several birds in the past. I think that is why we got as far as we did....she actually cared.
I was scared she wouldnt make it through the winter:cold BUT Chloe is doing WONDERFUL.:clap She started to lose her feathers half from plucking and her head feathers were also getting blotchy...but now she is full, plump and have the most beautiful feathers!....I never saw her with a full tail but we are getting there.:D I will take pictures and post them in the next few days.
She is flying ALLLL over and I promised I would never clip her wings again. Which is funny cause I thought clipping was a good thing. But it broke My heart when she was sick and the thought of her never learning to fly:cry:
She will not come to me unless she first wakes up and wants out of her cage. She chirps and chirps until I open her cage and let her jump in my hand and bring her down to the food dish....I think she uses me as a personal elevator:roll: :lol ...I cant figure it out. Other then that she lets me chase her around the room for 20 mins before I leave for work before she get tired and goes in her cage.(i pretend its part of our "quality time" but I know she just doesnt want to go back in her cage)
I hope everyone is doing just as good as we are. I havent been around the site in a little while(lifes been so busy)
I will try and pop in more often like I used to.
