Sandy Perches Diswasher safe?

Hey gang... anyone know if I can throw Eddies "Sandy Perches" - made by Parrotopia, in the dishwasher?

Not positive but I don't think a dishwasher is a great idea. I use an old vegetable brush to clean perches and it works great. I would think that high pressure hot water might dissolve whatever is holding the sand on the perch....just guessing tho.

I'm not sure if I have the same brand as you, but I have put a sand perch in the dishwasher (top rack) and it survived.

I put most of my birdie things in the dishwasher. I use a non-toxic detergent (Seventh Generation) and rinse a few times. Then everything sits near a heater vent or during the warmer months on the patio in the sun. I do NOT use the heating element in the dishwasher.

Thanks guys, I ended up taking an old toothbrush to it after I soaked it in a bucket of warm water to "loosen" things up. Worked well.
