Wondering, after reading Janie's post on Shy--
I have never seen any of the mating/maturing/hormonal behavior that many people have described. No gacking, no mating with the mouse, etc etc. Obviously, no eggs. The most I've seen is some paper shredding/tucking into tail feathers.
Tutti is definitely a year old. Any thoughts?

My guess would be that Tutti is still just a little under the radar to start that. My younger two will be three in May and the gacking/masturbation did not start before they were a year old. I can't remember exactly how much older than a year they were but if I had to guess I'd say they were around 15 to 18 months when that started.

Gee, Janie, I guess I was hoping of more of a, "some lovies are just mellow." Nay? It's going to kick in when my kids are becoming teenagers? Oh dear.

well, i've actually worried about the same thing. Two of my boys are 1+, and while they gack for rita whwn she asks for it, i've never seen any swishy. Itty-bitty, on the other hand, who, was probably around 5 or 6, never showed any hormonal behavior during the too short months i had with him.
