Eddie has a sisal boing that is soiled. The rope is fiberous, and I am unsure how to clean it.

Dishwasher? Washing machine?

Anyone know?

No matter what the toy or perch, I wash them in sudsy water, use a scrub brush, rinse well, spray with GSE/water mixture and rinse well again. If you can let it dry naturally in the sun, do, but if you have to let it dry inside that is the next best choice. :) A dishwasher would be OK, too, but I prefer to wash my toys, cages and perches on the back deck with a power washer.

http://landofvos.com/articles/kitchen7.html This is very strong stuff that generally need not be added to their water. As a safe cleaning disinfective agent, its perfect..............:)

I know from the packaging that it is safe for human consumption but I don't put it in my lovies water because there are no directions for the correct amount on something that small. When I use GSE I always rinse again with plain water.
