I am having an impossible time of imagining how a lovebird will fit inside of the two cages I am interested in buying. See below.

So, if you have a link for a picture of your lovies in a similarly sized cage it would be most appreciated!

Thanks!

Luv you all! :D

Laura, the bird pictured in the link is a Sun Conure so you can tell by that (size comparison) considering that a lovebird is smaller than a Sun.

The cage is not a bit too big. My birds spend most of their day in a 12 X 14 foot room and they are delighted to have that much space.

These sized cages are great and a lovie would love one and the area they had to fly in. I currently house two meyer's parrots in one and they do fine.

How 'bout a picture of a lovebird on top of a cage similar in size?

This was taken the day I put the cage together. (No toys or food in it yet, only perches.) I had to put their Tinker Toy playgym on top of the cage to get them to hang out near the new cage. Milo's on the play gym in the picture.

He looks tiny, and the cage huge, but once you get the perches and food dishes and and toystoystoys in there, it's fine. Lovebirds tend to be VERY active. Mine use every inch of the space in their cage. And believe me when I tell you that there are days when this cage is not big enough!

Here's a link (http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i27/BuyAPaperDoll/47b8df00b3127cceb440a5ca18780000003.jpg), let's see if I did it right. God, I miss Imagestation.

No, I was wondering if this cage was not enough of a difference larger than what Eddie has currently.

I believe his is 18"x18"x42"H

I wanted the largest cage possible without being rediculous.

Ah, gotcha. I think it's a really good size for an active little lovebird (or two). When I was shopping for the cage in the photo, I really couldn't find anything bigger that was appropriate for a lovebird in terms of bar spacing, etc.

At the end of this album I added 4 new pics with a few different views of the cage

I'm in the minority. Peanut has a smallish cage. Reason being is he started out in the largest Visions cage that they made, but he was rarely in it, only to sleep and since my budgie family kept growing, we gave them the Visions cage and Peanut got the smallish cage. Now, Peanut is still only in a cage to sleep and when we go away which is only for quick trips to the grocery store. And he hates being in a cage at any time anyway and we have such little room for any more large cages...

Here's a link to Peanut's cage.

BoMom,

How is the latch on that model? It looks like you have something extra holding it together.

One last thing... that was the HQ model you have, or the other one with the shelves?

that is the other one with the shelves and yes I mentioned the door latches not being as bird proof as I would like them to be so I use plastic links to lock them. One of the shots shows a close up shot of the door latch for a nest box door and it is the same latch that the 2 front doors have . I only put the rings on the front doors because I saw Bo watch me open it and try to do it her self. She does not bother with the side doors as I hardly ever open them.
