funny things my birdies do...

[lucky melatonin]

i always put nutberries or these shredder papers on the top of their cage so they can come out on top and eat and play. well the like the nutberries, but also enjoy knocking them off the cage so i pick them up. they usually do this about 5 times each sitting. i know that they're not just dropping them either, because i've seen them do it and watch me all the way!:rotfl

francis can fly really well now that his wings are grown out, but i used to always go get him because he had a messed up wing. the dude always flies to the couch and comes to sit with me leaving francis behind. even though he can fly and he knows he can, he sits on top of the cage and chirps for me to come get him because he doesn't want to be there if the dude is with me, but doesn't want to have to fly over there either.

the dude always makes landing on my head.

they get really annoyed when i go in the kitchen to clean their cage because they can't see me. so now, the only way i can get them to calm down is bring them in the kitchen with me and sit them on the kitchen bar with shredders so they can see me.

you guys share silly things your birds do too! mine are still little fellas and haven't learned all the tricks yet!

Peanut has some new friends...the wild birds that nest under my window AC unit...anyway, he HAS to try to see these birds. He sits on my arm and turns his head so fast to try and see these birds that he raps his beak against the window glass.

The dropping things to watch you pick it up...check
The sitting on your shoulder and getting as deep in your ear with thier beak before they chirp thier loudest chirp.....check
The waiting till you just refill the water dishes before flipping them over or makeing soup with them.....check
The biteing of the mole or blemish on the far reaches of the back of the neck....check
The poop on dads shirt where he cant see it just before he leaves for work....check
The pump the wings over the food or millet to watch it fly...check
The keyboard poop flyby..... check
And more but we love our little feather butts!
