I have been trying to get my two lovebirds to bond for about 6 months now. Both have come very far. Furby when I got her was incredibly shy but now shes standing up to Bella and even singing. Bella is just how she always is moody with a mind of her own, but now shes all cuddles with Furby! The birds just started shareing a cage full time a few weeks ago. Bella would spend all of her outside time in Furby's cage so I figured that becomeing cage mates might be a possibility. They sleep on the same perch at night and when they had the happy hut (currently removed- it needs to be replaced) Bellah would sleep on top of Furby where as two weeks ago Furby wasn't allowed in it. Now they seem like they've been together forever. They sit in the one spot everynight and just preen eachother and grind their beaks. I'm so excited, I squealed when I saw them on the perch together! Does this mean they are bonded?

Congrats! Sounds like they might be bonded, to me, but I am sure someone with more experience will tell you. :D

What you are describing sounds to me like they are on the road to bonding! :)

Awesome! I'm alittle sad that Jezz took to Furby instead of me but I guess the whole reason I go tFurby was for Jez, plus I believe Furby had just lost her mate before coming to live with me.

What a sweet thing to do for your lovebirds in making sure they both have companions and are happy together. Hopefully they continue to share what sounds like a special bond already................:)

Are you putting two females together? If so, you may want to keep a very close eye on them, especially when they get hormonal.

Yay :clap !!!!
I don't want my birds to be cagemates- they are, after all, a lovie and a conure.
But my dream is that they will, someday, be able to be best buds.
At first, Jack would terrorize Chino. Now, it's Chino who stalks Jack.
I know it may never happen, but I'd like it if they were able to at least sit next to each other without my heart racing.
Congrats on your lovies' newfound love!
