Well, I will have to update this later, but I wanted you all to know that Eddies flight suit is in!
Funny yet horrible story: I had it in between my underwear and my pants so it smelled like me, and not like plastic. Well, I forgot it was there, went to the bathroom, and oops! It fell in the toilet! >:
So, after cleaning it about a hundred times, it is now drying so I can try it on him tonight after work.
One good thing is that the washing made it more flexible and comfortable looking. We'll see if he likes it, he seems to think it is a great toy so far. Not afraid of it, but once we start holding wings and feet ..... we'll see!

Well, I have been chickening out putting this thing on Eddie.
It looks too small! It was the size for lovebirds (the size smaller was for "small lovebirds", but this one still looks tiny)
Anyone out here EVER have ANY luck?
I need to stop being a wimp and just try it. I'm scared!

There have been several threads in the past few years regarding flight suits for lovebirds. Personally, I would not dream of trying one on any of my three birds. I know they make a small suit which would insinuate that it is lovebird size but IMHO, lovebirds are too small for flight suits. They are probably OK for some larger (much larger) parrots but not for lovebird size.
My three are all very tame and trusting but I seriously doubt they would like the idea of a flight suit and would freak out if I forced something like that on them.

I am starting to think that if I put Eddie in his designer travel bag, when I get inside, I can put him on my shoulder while I visit friends. He seems to not poop as much as before too.

A travel bag is a much better idea! :) A bird in a flight suit is not safe from predator birds (hawks) outside anyway. A hawk could pick-off a lovebird in the blink of an eye.

Oh, could you post a link to your travel bag, please? I'm in search of something other than a travel carrier for Peanut. He hates his carrier and I am leaning more on a nice sized travel carrier/car seat/stroller combo.

That is a very cute bag....;)
Does it have a perch inside? Do you think the next size up would accomodate 2 lovies?

I have seen ones similar to that in Petco. I have a pretty small parakeet cage that I take Pip places in, mostly to get his wings clipped. I think he would prefer this cage over that carrier because he loves going out and seeing everything. I even strap the cage in with the seat belt so it won't go anywhere and he loves riding in the car and looks all around like he is checking it all out! I think in that carrier, it would block out alot of the view for him and he just loves seeing it all!!!

Carrie, these cages fit perfectly inside the carriers (I think they're marketed so you buy both, LOL). http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/group/12634/product.web I know that the cages come with a perch, but I don't think the carriers do. They're nice together when it's chilly outside.

Yup, that is the setup they sell. No perch in the carrier itself, but the windows are low, so the lovie can see out.

I have that one too! I let it air out for awhile before putting Peaches in for his first ride. It's very user friendly too! :)
