A vet who does dna testing can sex your bird.
Remember you chose your bird your bird didn't choose you, you are it's flock it needs your love and patience and you to take care of it with food water exersize etc.
If you realy in your hearts of hearts do not think you can take care of it do your best to find it a good home.
Your lovebird should be your feathered kid so treat it like you would a child with the upmost thought, love and respect.

Hi there!!
I received a lot of great advice on this board!!
I'm glad you decided to continue to try and tame your lovebird!!
Do you use millet as a reward? That really worked well when Peaches was young.
Is your birdie biting? Are her wings clipped? Sometimes that can help with training.
Use the members on the board...they are a great resource! Don't give up!

Many of us on this board can relate to who you feel. Taming a lovebird and building a trusting loving relationship is SO DIFFICULT. The advise you find on this board is great, but one thing I suggest is keeping things in perspective. Your lovie will be with you for YEARS! So think long term. If you continue to work with your lovies daily you will find a great relationship will develop and one that will be rewarding like no other. Our first lovebird was so wild I never thought I could have a relationship with him, but as the years passed I was proven wrong in the most loving and profound ways I can't even describe. We lost him this past year, and my life will never be the same. He effected me in the most deep and profound ways and I am a better person for having him in my life.
I'm glad you're not giving up!
