Mardi still doesn't like my hands but I have finally managed to get her in the cage after she has a fly around, I left the door open and covered up Keikos cage and said 'off to bed now Mardi' and she flew to Keikos cage and chirped and when she got no response Keiko was asleep-she hopped on her cage and hopped back in her cage...she has done it twice now-which is good because I hate having to throw a towel on her to get her back in....I think she must have hated it too.:happy:

Sounds like you are making good progress with Mardi! Going in the cage on command is a wonderful thing to teach any bird. Make sure you use the same wording all the time and practice will make perfect! All of my larger parrots know the exercise and I usually only have to say the command once and everyone heads for the doors to their respective cages! :lol

This certainly seems like a good plan! Definitely better than the towel no doubt. Hopefully this becomes one of Mardi's ritual/habits. Great progress!
