I was sitting here watching a hockey game and surfing the board and I kept hearing what sounded like one little Ditto sleepy chirp every so often, only about 3 times louder. Hmmmm.... Then I looked over at him and he seemed surprised when the chirp sounded. The next time it did it, he did it back and I noticed that it wasn't coming from quite the same direction.

Oops. smoke alarm battery died and he was starting to chat it up.

Heh. I have had the same thing happen to me, Dave. It takes a while before you realize there's an extra little "chirp" in the house. It's OK though, when it happened here, my birds had a lovely chat with the smoke detector before I figured out what was going on.

Well he's got the smoke alarm dead battery chirp down perfectly.

Now I've pulled the smok alarm battery an hour ago. Where's his battery?

I'd take a lovebird's smoke alarm chirps over car alarm screeching any day of the week!

Fortunately he seems to have forgotten the smoke alarm already!

It took me a little longer to figure out it wasn't the lovies. Since I have SIX and they are all chatter boxes, I figured it out after they went night-night and everything was suppose to be quiet  Thank goodness I had extra batteries. When one went off the one, the second one went off too. Yep, a lota chirppin' goin' on :lol
