Hi all,

Thought I would make a quick thread on Radon. I just discovered that the home I grew up in has a radon level of 4.9. At 4.0 they recommend fixing the problem within a few years. Well, I lived on the basement floor for 26 years :(

So, I no longer live there, but I am going to be testing my new house (a rental) for radon to make sure that myself and Eddie are not at risk.

So.... I had two questions.

As I am now at a higher risk for lung cancer, has anyone heard that a bird in the home (and the dust they create) will put me at more of a risk?

And... does Radon effect birds? I would think so, but hoped someone here knew for sure.

***** Moral if the story**** Check your home for radon. The test is about $10, and can save you from one of the worst cancers out there.

Radon is the #2 leading cause of lung cancer, just behind smoking.
