Cozy caves ...

Melody, aka Destructo the Wonder Hen, is chewing up her cozies as fast as I can supply them.

Every kind of fabric I've used, she's killed pretty quickly. The worst has been flannel, which she can destroy in a matter of days. She only has access to the a cozy at night when the cage is covered.

Since my birds have a separate sleeping cage, I can set something up that's permanent. Was thinking of some kind of a shelf or something that they can snuggle together on.

Any suggestions?

They have grated shelves you can just pop in a cage. If you want to cover it with fabric to make it more cozy like, it should be pretty simple. I have seen directions to build carpted platforms for larger parrots. I will look around to see if I can find it. If you do get the platform done, you can always drape a shirt or towel around it to make it more cozy like or they can just sleep on the platform.

I can't give a cozy to Olivia & Daise. They have a cotton rope boing they sleep on at night and it's in the cage day & night. Now, if I put a cotton rope swing in the cage, Olivia will destroy it like Miss Melly destroy's cozies. I don't get it :confused:
