I've said before how Fenway has fallen in love with the tip of the broom. Now, it's anything long and with a hole at the end (I think his favorite is the swiffer top because it is near the same color as him). LOL. But that's beside the point.
I had been putting the tip of the broom on my finger because he won't let me pet him and he's been molting. So, getting petted is going to be the best thing for him.
Fenway has not been a fan of hands and fingers from a week or two from when we brought him home. Now, he lets me pet him. He will even come out of his cage, press his beak down on my chest and expect me to pet him (which I always do, spoiled bird!). He's been doing much better at step-ups as well. Before he would just attack the fingers. He would step up from the ground if he flew down, but that was it. Now, he's stepping up from the counter and even from the shoulder. :happy:
So, girlfriends/boyfriends aren't all bad. His little lover has helped greatly in hand taming! :clap
