Seems that Pip and my newest addition Ivy have come to an understanding......they spend time together and although they are not best buds, they seem to both understand......Pip knows enough not to bother Ivy and behaves himself! so Ivy is pretty much accepting of him and the two can be together and I can actually step out of the room for a minute and not have to worry about any problems between them. Pip will try to go up to Ivy at times.....but rarely, and if Ivy gets annoyed she just chases Pip away, again rarely. Pip seems to realize that Ivy will chase him away if he bothers her too much and responds accordingly! I really feel that these two have some kind of an understanding between them! Now I know that it's still early in the relationship and that the two still have to be watched, but it's looking good that they can be together out and no problems between them.....who knows, maybe they will be best buds some day......never know! They seem to be off to a good start!

At the least Pip and Ivy can be out together without an "instant" scuffle. I'm always amazed at how some different species can manage to cohabitate at such close quarters. Really, most homes simply don't offer a lot of air space compared to what they'd have in their natural habitat. Sounds like they really do have an understanding, and who knows, maybe they've become a tad bit "civilized" too................:)

I was but thinking lovebirds as compared to humans bestow a certain "civilized" aura about them that often portrays verisimilitude. Especially after watching the 6 oclock news. Sometimes Chimpanzee's along with other such "creatures" have the same effect. I just can't figure it out sometimes...........

You guys are funny......but I think you're right michael! Pip actually behaves himself! wow, I didn't know it could be done! they do especially well together if they are eating together-----only time there is a problem is if Ivy picks up a nice toy! and Pip just can't help himself then! lol he just can't resist a good toy!
