Ok- so I was supposed to go home tonight but changed it to Sunday night. (I live in OR, but have been in CA for 3 weeks) and my birds are at my brother-in-law's house. This is where my Jack was hatched, and my BIL has lots of lovies and 2 finches.
Greg doesn't have any experience with gcc's, but has completely fallen for my Chino, and his laid back, cuddly disposition and the way he gives kisses and talks.
Over the last 3 weeks, Greg has jokingly said things like "I'm not going to be able to part with Chino" "You're going to have to fight me for him" "It's going to be hard for you to pry this little guy away from me".
Today, his newest was "Oh, by the way... Chino died, so I went and bought one exactly like him, and this one's mine".
Boy am I going to be heartbroken if Chino has fallen for Greg in the same way...
Do you guys think they'll remember me after being out with Greg non-stop?

i don't think you have to worry - i just came back after being away for over 2 weeks, and kiwi almost killed himself trying to get out of the cage to see me when i came home. he was making noises i have never heard come out of him from excitement!!!!

he was with my son, who had him out almost every minute while i was gone, but since i returned, he hasn't left my side. he absolutely remembered me, as will chino. greg may be his new favourite fiduncle, but you are his one and only fidma!! :)

I think he'll be very happy to see you and you'll have a reunion like Paulie the blue crowned conure did in the movie (only your absence wasn't as long!)

I think both Chino and Jack will happy to see you and get back home! I do think it's great that Chino has taken to your BIL. The more varied experiences Chino has and the more people he bonds with, the more likely he will continue to develop into a happy social fid that will get the most out of life. Plus, Chino has won himself a willing birdysitter8o .
