I thought it might be a normal green, just young.

Yes, that's a normal Green Peachie, about 11-13 weeks old. The black splotch isn't as dark as an 8 week old. It rather looks like it's lightening up a bit but still not fading from bottom to top.

How come his colors are so muted?

And, did he have any stress marks in his feathering?

He looks like Jack, whose parent are American cinnamon (Dad) and Australian Cinnamon (mum)

It looks like he just has baby coloring. Fenway's colors were muted at that age too.

His coloring came in a little while after his first molt.

Thank you! He definitely brightened up. It was hard to notice because I saw him everyday. Then, I went to MA for a weekend and he looked so different! LOL.

I still think he's getting brighter. I'm kind of looking forward to see what the next molt brings.
