I currently have a lovebird that is very tame. I am now considering buying a quaker. My question is if I put the quaker in the same room, but in seperate cages would my lovebird's attitude change from very loving and nice to different, because he has a room mate?

Any advice would be very appreciated.

Thanks

After 30 days quarantine, having both in the same room should not have an effect on your lovebird, other than having a feathered friend to communicate with. The only thing that might change your relationship with your lovebird would be lessened attention. Even having 2 tame lovebirds does not necessarily leave you out of the equation for tame friendly lovies as long as they get attention, attention, and more attention.

I have 2 Quakers, in addition to my lovebirds, and they don't socialize with my lovebirds. Quakers have larger, stronger beaks and could do some damage in a big hurry!
