I got a letter from the mailbox addressed to "Ducky" & our last name! It was so funny! Here's what it said:
"Dear Ducky,
Our records show that it's been a while since you've been here and that you are now due for the following: 6 month exam due Nov 2008
The doctor will discuss wellness blood testing with your owner and also we would recommend that you bring along a sample of your stool to be tested. These tests are used as a screen to make sure that you are as healthy as you should be.
Could you please get one of the humans in your life to call us for an appointment. Mention to them that with the onset of cold weather, they wiill need to heat the car and cover cages (if applicable) with a thick towel or blanket. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Your friends at" the avian vet's office name.
:rotfl I think he can manage to bring a stool sample! Although, at the last visit, we had to wait a while for a fresh one. :rotfl
Seriously, I am very grateful to have a very good avian vet's office pretty close to us (before we moved last year, we were only 10 minutes away by car, now we are about 30 minutes which is still very good.)
It sure gave my husband and I a laugh tonight. He pretended to be offended that the bird had his last name. But who got up twice during dinner to put his toy back on the top of his cage??
I thought I would share with people who will understand and appreciate this!
