i really enjoy being a lovebird mummy

i have sorted my room out ,it needed it lol put up a new bed and mrs lovett came upstairs today to have a good fly, he will go from cocktile cage to me as and when he wants too, but i really love having him, a lovely tame full of character bird, i would think twice about adopting another one, only thing i would worry about is losing my bond with mrs lovett :blush: i know i sound a bit soppy but i am sat here and i am really enjoying having this bird

right now he has come to sit with me and is playing with me, i definitely think these birds could make anyone smile, yes he does nip occasionally and can be noisy sometimes, but i have a constant smile on my face

he is all the fun of a big parrot in a smaller size :D i will get some pics of his out of the cage if he will stay still long enogh lol

It doesn't sound soppy.. you sound like you've made a connection with mrs lovett that is beyond special. And all of us on here have that connection and completely understand :)

No matter how naughty elmo is.. he can bite my neck.. bite my nostril.. bite my ear.. chew up important documents.. but its all worth it to hear your loving beak grinding and falling asleep on you.. they trust you so much to sleep on you.. its a beautiful thing.

i agree. i love being a parront. I don't even care how much people laugh that i have a bird. no matter how annoying joey can get w/ his velcro tendencies, his nipping and biting, and his stubborness, having him fall asleep on my chest and give me kisses and cuddle time is well worth it.

mrs lovett has never fallen asleep on me, but he is allwys on the go only every sleeps at night sometimes in the day but that normal once back in his cage, we just love to play :D he will groom on me tho i will get some pics :D next time we have out time i will get clciking if he keeps still

Parrots are great:D I love being a parront too. They are the most intelligent, captivating things, all sizes of them. People think I'm weird, but thank god for other bird people...

i loe you ammy in your sig, i would love a big parrot bt i know i wouldnt be abel to handle one by that i mean if they got agressive or nipped i know where i am with smaller parrots but i would love to handle a macaw,
