Jennifer's post in "Biters" has inspired me to start a Lovebird Lexicon. Please feel free to add your faves! Maybe we can compile them for new owners later, maybe even with pics to illustrate.

"I am tired and would like to be returned to my cage so that I may snuggle up in my cozy for the evening" -- a bite to the right nostril.

"I've got very pretty eggs and will kill anyone except George who comes near them" -- neck feather fluff and lowered head (aka, the Big Bad Bird).

"This thing (or person) makes me very happy" -- waggle butt.

"That water looks good" -- a shudder-like fluffing of feathers all over the body.

"I warned you!" -- Hanging by the beak from a human finger
"Don't even think about coming any closer"-- body leaning forward with head tilted back and beak open as wide a possible.

" Do I make you horny, baby?" Clickey sounds, turning in circles, scratching head vigorously.

LOL Why do I imagine your lovebird performing to Rod Stewart's old hit, "Do You Want My Body"? :lol

Dialectic variation: sprinting from side to side of cage with amazing speed, with no slowing down during direction changes.
