no eggs in seven years?

Females I've had in the past would drop infertile eggs once in a while, even without being "stimulated"... Mika is seven years old and has never dropped an egg. I know she's female. Kano is female too, and she's never dropped an egg in the five years I've had her.

Do some just never end up dropping eggs?

While it's the exception rather than the rule, yes, it's possible that a female will not lay eggs and there may be a medical reason for that. As shown by surgical sexing, not all birds have their reproductive organs intact.

You, personally, could also be doing an excellent job of convincing these 2 that conditions are not favorable for raising young. Now that doesn't mean that you are doing anything wrong, as it doesn't sound that way....not by any means. I'm talking about how the birds perceive conditions necessary to potentially raise chicks! With single hens that could easily become chronic egg layers, this is a very good thing!
