Two weeks ago we finally moved into our new house. I thought that moving would set back Phoebe in her desire to nest. I thought moving into another house and in a new room would be stressful enough for her.
Was I ever wrong! On day 4 she started chewing the boxes that we piled up in a corner. Every chance she gets she goes after ANY piece of newspaper of any other paper she can lay her beak on. She has a natural radar for it! Her dear little Kio (the budgie) even did an exploration to the first floor for her see if there is any paper there for her. (Pheebs showed him how to shred).
The family room downstairs is our bird room. We have it set up so it's primary for them. My computer is on that floor but I made a deal with husband that he can have the small bedroom as an office IF I am able to store my papers there. There will be a few runs up and down the stairs to remove any paper from the bird/family room today!
