make a homemade hanging play gym? I pretty much just need an idea for the base because I am going to add my own toys.

a hanging playgym? no, sorry. though I think I'm gonna buy me some Tinker Toys soon and make my fids something. Right now I made them a thing out of legos, but they don't really care for it. Guess I better pass on the legos to a real kid who might want them instead.

What do you want to use for the base? There are all kinds of stuff out there to hang toys off of. Plastic chains is one. I like to use non treated wreaths and plant hangers. I made a foraging bucket out of a wreath and a tupperware container. Then I hung it up with some leather strips. The fids loved it! To hang it, I just use big hooks. :)
