Okay so I have just recently adopted a United States soldier and now I'm looking into getting an international pen pal. Anyone know of any way I can find one? I would like to write letters instead if email and I would also like to learn about their cultures and different living styles. I was looking more into Japan and Africa or a country that doesn't have much. Anyone have a pen pal??

Nope, no pen pal here but that sounds interesting!! You should get one from Japan!! That's where I'm originally from... :) You'd never be able to tell Japanese was my first language since I speak English with no accent whatsoever! (I'm half Japanese, half white)

I really want an international Pen Pal but I don't know which sites to trust with my address or anything. Well, I'm off to look again!

There used to be all sorts of pen pal message boards, usually for on-line coorespondance. I would start with something like that (if only for safety's sake) and take it from there.

You could always set yourself up with a small PO box instead of giving out your real snail mail add'y :)

Best of luck!

I think I'll set up a P.O box. I live very close to the post office anyways :) Does it cost anything?

Yes, there are fees for Post Office boxes.
