hey, so it's been forever so i figured i'd stop and say hi.

probably since last we spoke, i rehomed miss dude with my grandmother and kept francis. i wanted to keep her but she just kept laying eggs and would not get out of the nest (and would become depressed if i removed it). she became extremely cage aggressive as well. my grandmother lived nearby so i got her a new cage and sent her over there to see how things went and if they didn't go well, i'd be close so i could take her back. turns out, miss dude absolutely love my grandma and my grandma loves her company. neither francis or miss dude showed any signs of missing the other (francis, i think, actually is enjoying himself more :))

so miss dude is fine, francis is great, and i am too!

i got a basset hound who wants to eat francis so bad, francis taunts him too. we have to put the muzzle on him when francis is out, and francis swoops over him, then flys up high as if to say "HA HA, you can't gettttt meeeee..."

here they are....

Hi Emily and welcome back!
You're right! Long time, no hear from! Glad you stopped by.

Sometimes rehoming is a good thing and it sounds that way with Miss Dude. She's in a good home, she loves your grandmother and your grandmother loves her company. Can it get any better? Francis had you all to himself and the world is a wonderful place.......

Walter is a nice looking dog and is a natural predator, which dogs are. He and Francis need to remain apart or Francis will find out he's not as invincible as he might think he is. It's that lovebird attitude, ya know!

They are so cute!

I never thought of the muzzle thing. Does he hate it?

I would think even with the muzzle he could still trample Francis (bad experience with that one :( ) But not a bad idea. Theyre both adorable by the way :)

he hates it, usually he gets so depressed when we put it on he just goes and lays down.

as for the trampling thing, we keep francis fully-flighted so he's much faster and smarter.
