ewww, cockroaches

gross, i found two roaches in my apt the other day. is this stuff safe to use? I don't want the roaches to somehow find their way to my fids and my fids somehow pecking on them and then they end up sick.

the second one looks like a standard spray. Just spray it into all the nooks and crannies where roaches dwell. There are a number of baits that work real well but I'm not sure they can simply be purchased. They may need to come from an exterminator.
Boric acid is another good one to use and can be found anywhere that sells bug killer.

Jim is right about the Camicide. It's a spray and you use it just like any other one. Camicide, however, is completely bird safe so your birds will not be affected by it. The downside to it is that it kills immediately but leaves no residue to kill later visitors.

Boric Acid mixed with peanut butter makes a great bait. The roaches eat it and explode from the gas that builds up inside them. The trick is to put it where they can find it (around water/moist areas) and your birds/other animals cannot.
