It's been ultra hot in Australia, even the natives are feeling the heat.
Over 40 degrees for over a week in Adelaide.
A lot of deaths put down to the heat wave.
This litttle fellow won't be one.

I hope this is allowed here.

Too cute! One of my favorite childhood books (when I was about the age--and hair color--of the girl in the 2nd photo) was "Kola the Koala Bear". And for years, I called them Kola bears  He really does look like a stuffed toy in one of those shots :rotfl

I absolutely melted into a puddle when I saw the koala in the bucket. I may just have to print that one out :D

I really need to get to Australia. The native fauna has always fascinated me!

Great photos -- thank you so much for posting!

What a precious little thing! I did save these images to show people. They are so wonderful. I agree. This little guy looks like a stuffed animal. I could go on an on! So sweet!!!!

Was this at your house???? The little girl is darling too.

I've always wanted to go to Australia!!! Maybe I'll make it someday.

Thanks so much for sharing these.

It's the Quantas spokesman! :clap:clap:clap

I also loved hearing about how nice and warm it is in your hemisphere! We've dipped back down to the single digits (F) again.

I would love to add more but this is a lovebird forum, and don't want to misuse it.
Couldn't resist the Koala though. All the animals are suffering badly with the heatwave. Here is some local news.

Gee....you should send them your pics.....I like yours better than the ones they had there. Those little guys are just the most adorable little things! Are there really that many of them around?? and are they friendly? They sure look like sweet innocent little things.....I bet alot of people love giving them water and helping them out.

They were not my pictures, they were in the local paper the previous day.
The photo's then sparked a flood of dehydrated Koala photo's.
The Koala does not seek human company, but desperate times need deperate solutions'
The little one in the tub was deserted by his mum, who was in trouble herself.
Now both are happily in rehab to be released back in the bush when they are well enough.
