Freyja & Odinn Come Home Saturday

Actually, last week was in the 40-50's, sunny and dry, and then we got dumped on yesterday and its supposed to snow intermittently throughout the week. Saturday is supposed to be clear with a possibility of flurries, but south of us is supposed to be really stormy- so Linda and I are watching closely to be sure that their connecting flight from Houston to Boston will be without delays.

Yes, we are working hard to get this place perfect! I am sort of on my own, as Chris threw his back out shoveling, and I am a severe arthritic flare up. My fish and birds NEVER EVER go without, though- so I am doing everything I can to get this place put together.

They'll be getting a new cage next month, too. I'm REALLY looking forward to setting up the big cage!

Chris and I have been extra jolly despite all of our difficulties this week. We absolutely cannot wait until we have the full sensory experience of birds in the home again.

Actually- there will be three budgies upstairs as of this weekend too- they'll never be on the same floor as Freyja and Odinn, but it will be neat to have more birdies around! They are not tame, but they are healthy and are very well-tended by my sis in law who was an avian vet tech and is now taking a break from her medical residency to have twins. In laws own the house where we live- divided into two floors, they're staying upstairs until the babies come and their house is finished being built. Lots of exciting goings-on. Lots of human babies and feathered kids coming into the family this spring and summer! It will also be nice to have someone so knowledgeable about bird health living in the same building, too.
