Lovebird breeders around Ulster County, New York?

I've been seriously considering adopting another lovie, but I would only want to adopt from someone with a good reputation with breeding in my area.

Is anyone aware of any websites where I could search for a good breeder in New York State, who specialize in hand-fed/hand-raised lovebirds?

The home where I got Ivy from had two lovies and she is located south of you down near NY city.....let me ask her where she got her lovies from and I'll get back to ya......her lovies were both female and very sweet and tame.....they both rode around on me while we were there when we went to get Ivy!

Have you tried searching through birdbreeders.com? You can search by species & state...

Thank you Eliza. I poked around on that website and found a few breeders that look quite good! I'll be sure to follow up to let everyone know if I've chosen a new lovie to adopt. :)

I found a local breeder. The Bird House in Saugerties, NY. So far, so good. We're planning on my meeting two new babies next week who may very well come home and be added to our little happy family!! :)
