well, obviously evolet's the answer. they were playing around on me today and evie and pan kept feeding each other on my knee while joey and i watched, like, "whoa, is this real?". after some time they were chewing at my sweatshirt zipper with one another and pan started to preen evolet's face. and she let him. it happened twice. the moment didn't last long, but long enough to know it's real.

yay. maybe they'll be friends soon. of course now that i'm looking for a friend for pan.

don't worry, they took one step forward and then evolet went back to her old bossy self and chased pan around and they beak fought like usual. :) flock members ;)

oh yeah, and pan's been hopping onto me with much more confidence and trust. he's wary of jumping onto fingers (unless he's on the ground), but for the most part he's been good about hopping on my arms, shoulders, and head. he'll sit on my arms as far as my wrists are. he'll eat from my fingers, but he just won't sit on my fingers the way the other two do. He even let me pet him today and give him stritches with his eyes closed...don't know if it felt good to him or he was closing his eyes and telling himself that it will all be over soon. haha.

we'll be moving this weekend so i'll let you guys know how it all goes and how the fids like their new place. I'll have photos :) of course i don't know when i'll get internet, except when i'm at work and have my itouch, but i hate typing on that thing. so we'll see. since i'm starting to move on saturday, i gotta hurry up and finish packing by 2morrow night. so poor fids won't have much play time friday night. oh well

they make you work so hard for them and then they take steps back so you have to work even harder. but it's so nice when they start to come around. i think pan's coming around. he comes over to me when he's in his cage. I even gave him the back of my finger and he gently beaked it the way joey and evolet do.

i was packing boxes near him and he even came to investigate and watch me, which is rare cuz he usually watches me but doesn't move close to really see. so yeah, my little man is slowly coming around.

Yes, patience. Juanita let a year-and-a-half go by before she allowed me to scritch her head and neck. (Her history is unknown because she was found outside. I have a lot of respect and love for her spunky, brave, courageous, feathered parrothood.) I loved helping her to get rid those pin feather sheaths from the back of her neck and head. Now, she has Petey.
