Buddy is having a rough weekend. She had 2 seizures yesterday & 3 more today. I let her meds run out (it's been a rough patch in general lately) & need to get to the vet's first thing in the morning. Needless to say, I am having a rough weekend, too. We both could use some good thoughts right now.

Thanks for the warm thoughts. And sorry it's taken me so long to get back. We weathered another crisis & Buddy has been doing well this week. I got her meds refilled & she is drinking a lot more water than usual (a good thing) with the help of the syringe. I always give her water after her meds since she likes anything out of the syringe so it's a good way to get water into her. Usually she will accept 2 or 2 1/2 syringes of water. This week she has been accepting 4 & once 5 syringes full! And she has been answering the canary and the blue jays occasionally--something she used to do regularly but hasn't for a while. And--I almost hesitate to mention it because every time I do she starts plucking again--she hasn't been plucking hardly at all. She is even beginning to grow a couple of tail feathers. I so hope she lets them grow back in! The vet's comments was: What a tough old bird! She said if the seizures continued to escalate we could consided phenobarbital or valium but that she doesn't really want to put any unecessary meds into the old girl. And I agree. I haven't witnessed any seizures since Sunday. I like to think it was all the healing thoughts you all sent our way :)

Goodness. I'm sorry I missed this post earlier. I've been wrapped up in my own little dramas here.
I hope and pray that Buddy continues to do well.

So glad Buddy is feeling better. I posted on another thread asking about Buddy but I didn't see this post until after I posted.
So happy for you that things are looking better!

Like Jennifer, I missed this post earlier. I'm sorry Buddy was having such a rough time and glad to hear things are better (for both of you....when your baby feels bad, you do, too!).
