Okay i dont have any pictures up yet because im having trouble uploading them, but Stormys colors seem to be changing again!

Now it looks like the feathers on top of his head and back are turning from grayish blue...to grayish green???? Im thinking it might be the lighting or maybe my eyes, but hes looking SO different to me right now! Ill try and post pics.

Its normal for them to change a lot during molts, especially their first!

The changes in my mother's birds are astounding. Leia has an orange face- her face always looked more orange than Luke's but its very obvious now, and Luke is considerably more pied than before- he has every color in the rainbow in him.

And blues... blue lovies are always something else too... Odinn looks blue under certain light but he has all kinds of different colors in him- his flights are a deep grey, and his rump is a bright bright cornflower blue... his forehead is yellow nearest his beak and grades to apricot toward the back... but I notice new colors in him all the time. He is beginning his second molt, I noticed this morning freckling of brighter feathers around his head. And when Freyja has her adolescent molt- she may just turn right into a slice of lemon pie...

Stormy is a gorgeous bird and I can't imagine him not being even more lovely after his molt. I can't wait to see what colors come out in him.

There is no true blue mutation in Peachfaced lovies. The blue feather coloring is really an optical illusion that is dependent on lighting conditions at the time of viewing the coloration.
