I stumbled upon this (http://www.fedbybirds.com/2007/09/the_mind_of_a_bird.html) page referencing an incredible account of how an author befriended the birds around her Sussex cottage.

Reminds me of my grandmother, who while tying grapes in her small vineyard, had various birds fly carousel about her person in anticipation of eventually paying a feed visit to their homes. This also kept my "uncle Al" (grandfather) busy building/repairing the many bird houses she enjoyed all throughout the yard. Ironically, she also kept Angora cats. Well fed, and quite under foot, her cats payed little attention to neither her yard birds, or her beloved parakeets.

Interesting little tidbit. Thanks for sharing............:)

what an amazing story - I wonder how much time it took the birds to trust her enough to hang out with her like that. Those photos are amazing.

If I ever saw that in the wild i would probably be wide eyed and giggly too, itd be so cool to see!!!
