Tonight the lovies found a new toy that Eric had "tossed" on the ground. The ring that goes around a one liter bottle..the seal under the cap thingy?
Okay, well Stormy found it first. Like a little kid he was playing with it and tossing it . So then Lizzy is watching from my shoulder...and immediately she wants it.
So down she goes, and runs right over. OMG shes so mean! She grabbed it out of his mouth, then chased him away. Then when she was done, rather than to share, she carried this thing ALL over the floor away from him. Me and Eric about died laughing it was so funny. I wanted to get a video SO bad but my camera was dead.

aww little lizzy is quite the bossy lady!! It's funny, I spend so much money on toys for these birds and its always the things that are already in my house that they play with. Yesterday it was the curtain string and the hanging stained glass window. Isn't that odd! Gus is more the acrobat, while Oslo is content still to watch what his brother is doing. I think he knows that for the most part he's safer on my shoulder, because Gus WOULD drive him away like Lizzy did to Stormy!!

Magellan (my adventurous WF American Cinnamon Slate hen) has decided that her favorite toy is one of the blue scoops from Exact Hand Feeding Formula! Somehow, she manages to get it on her head and she proceeds to walk around the bottom of the cage like that! It's hysterical to watch and even funnier to listen to her talking while her head is inside the scoop. There's absolutely no way she can get injured playing with it so I leave it in her cage so she can enjoy it whenever she wants!
We spend a lot of time/money looking for/making toys to amuse them and they manage to find something so simple and inexpensive that's just laying around the house! :lol

Pip is the same way.....he can't be around Ivy if she's playing with a toy or he'll run right up to her and grab the toy right out of her beak! Anything she has....he wants! Poor Ivy now when they eat veggies together will take a bean or something and carry it someplace else to eat it, in fear that Pip will try to grab it from her!

lol, it's so true how you spend a ton of money on their toys and all they want is a piece of paper or something super simple. and it sucks when they do something hilarious and your camera is dead!!!
