I have not given him these yet and want to check if it's okay. My family had a parrot that was named Pepper..well, because he loved peppers. He was a large bird though so I don't know if it's okay for lovebirds to eat peppers to. Also, is rice an okay food for lovebirds to?

Elmo LOVES rice.. it's the only human food that she will ask for..
If I am eating it and don't give it to her in time she will jump on my bowl and get it herself! Her record is eating 10 granules.

maka and sunny are the only lovies i've had that turned their beaks up at rice... the others gobbled it.

i haven't tried fresh peppers yet, but sunny loves the dried peppers that come with her pellets.

Both are great, with a red pepper and yellow pepper having the most nutrients in them. They are usually the most expensive though.

Rice is good, but I only give my guys brown rice that has to be cooked for about 40 minutes. It still has nutrition in it.

Always ensure rice is cooked thoroughly or it can kill a birdie. It swells in the tummy as it absorbs moisure. Toss some broccoli in there for an extra treat.

Both are great for lovies.
