I got junior from a petstore that hand raised him and I can't seem to find anyone else who raises lovebirds. I've called many pet stores and looked online for lovebird breeders but can't find any. Anyone know of any lovebirds breeders or lovebirds for sale in the Central Valley, California?

I find a lot of people if I go to a search engine online and type in "michigan, lovebirds" and I usually get a lot of information. Also, I use hoobly a lot, it's actually where I found the breeder I got my first lovey from. Just be weary of people who say they are breeders, do your homework and make sure they have some credentials and some references as well. It's always important to have a reputable breeder, sometimes hard to find in your area. I hope you have some luck with this!

You can check the back of Bird Talk magazine (classifieds), try birdbreeders.com (they list by state AND species) or visit sites like upatsix.com, birdsnways.com, birdmart.com kijiji or hoobly.

If you're not set on a hand-raised lovebird, try Petfinder. Between rescue & shelter listings and their classified section, you might find a wonderful companion needing a home :)

Best of luck!
