I came home from work today to find Wrigley all puffed up and barely able to keep his eys open. He is now admitted at Angell Memorial animal hospital, spending the night getting oxygen therapy until one of the avian specialists can see him and do tests to try and find out why he is sick tomorrow morning. I am very scared he won't make it through the night. I am just praying my phone doesn't ring tonight.
I feel guilty to a great degree because when I adopted him he was healthy and now he's been to the emergency room twice. I wonder if he's sick because of something in my apartment, or if Fenway passed something to him. Fenway seems fine, although he is definately a bit more sedate due to his friend not being there. I could tell he knew Wrigley wasn't well by the way he was trying to keep him warm, cuddling up next to him. :very_sad: Not to mention the way he reacted when I came home and didn't put his buddy back in the cage with him. He looked deflated.
I don't know what I'll do if Wrigley dies; Fenway will be soooo affected by Wrigley's absence and I can't bear to think of him dying because of something I might have done, or not done.
Please keep my little yellow man in your thoughts and prayers. I really hope I have some positive news to report tomorrow.
