I've purchased my plane ticket now, and Kiwi is allowed to be with me under the seat (thank goodness)!

I need to find a good airline approved bird carrier. I've taken a look at the Celltei, but it's expensive. Does anyone have one, and is it worth it? Do you have any other suggestions?

I would recommend a solid carrier, like a Cabin Kennel. They are the safest in the long run, both for running your lovie to & from the vet at home and airline travel. In the hopefully unlikely event that your lovie would get bumped from cabin to cargo, it will be the safest option, too.

Cabin Kennels (or similar airline-approved carriers) come in two varieties:

Wire top: http://www.southernagriculture.com/southag/product.asp?dept_id=3219&pf_id=PAAAIAOJIOEDLJAP&ad_id=froogle&key_id=2797_PetmateCabinKennelwithWireTop

You should be able to find them at most pet stores, usually in the cat section.

That's cool that you can have him with you under the seat!!! It would definitely make me worry less knowing he is right there.
