Well tonight for the first time I finally saw Ditto eat some pellets that weren't in an avi-cake or nutriberry.

After a month of them being in his cage I took the bowl to the couch again. I was planning on putting some in my hand where he usually brings his avi-cakes for snack. But what do you know, before I could do anything he wandered over to the bowl, stuck his head in, nibbled on a pellet and then took a piece of dried apple and chomped it down. While he was doing that I took one of the dried pepper pieces and about 15 pellets and put them in my hand... He hopped up there and ate them like he's been starving for weeks. :omg: And the dried peas made him go nuts. Of course he had to wash them down with a veggie nutriberry.

BTW the Zupreem Avian Entree's super premium havest feast stuff smells darn good. Fruty with red peppers. I was tempted to eat some myself. :omg:

Good for them. Good for you for having the patience to last a month. They like those hard peas in the Zupreem mix? Amazing, because mine ignore them.

How do you think my lovies started to eat those yummy Zupreem pellets? Because I ate them in front of them! Not by the handful, you understand, and it's not something I would recommend to others, but I felt that I had to use my leadership role to a good advantage.

The pellets do smell good, and they're crunchy, but the taste is a bit bland.:)

yuppers, that's what sunnybird gets, along with garden goodness. I usually switch it up when i start running low on a bag. i mix it while one bag runs low, and then she gets all one until that bag runs low, then it gets mixed..and then all one again. She's so funny though, will only eat her pellets if they're in a separate dish from her seeds.

half the time i come home and she's been making soup with her dried peppers. lol
