It's off to a good start, in that nothing has gone wrong yet. :D Very unusual things seem to happen on August 16th:

Elvis died.
Planes crashed in Detroit.
The Harmonic Converge (or as we called it, the Harmonica Virgins) of planets occured.
Bela Lugosi died. (A few years before my time, but just a few.)
Gold was discovered in the Yukon. (A *bit* before my time. ;) )

The birds have all been out to wish me a happy one and demand banana. Neko is demanding to go outside ...
