Hi everyone!
I was on holiday for 10 days, but I´m here again and I have good news

I don´t know if you remember that they were living together although Wiki wasn´t very happy about that (she´s imprinted and attacked Mac a lot). He had started to regurgitate food to her but she had been ignoring him.

Now she lets him to stay really near and even regurgitates to him, too!

I hope you like this video, I think we´re accomplishing it :)

Greetings!

I am glad they are becoming friends!! I am a little concerned about hanging out at the bottom of the cage - is she maybe trying to nest? I am only concerned because being on the bottom of the cage consistently is a sign of illness. I know my conure and parrotlet both go down there but they are looking for more food, lol.

You´re right, she´s trying to nest. When she was alone she used to stay there during heat time, she did some nestes with papers dropping them through the grid (I cleaned them trying to avoid laying eggs and it worked).

Sometimes she goes there now, but it´s not a continual thing (during these 10 days she didn´t do it, for example).

Watching that video sure does remind me of how Pip is.....he dances all around, and even when she chases him away, notice how he doesn't give up? Yup, that's Pip.....he's just like that with Ivy! I think he'll win her over eventually!

I´m putting their nest in the cage tomorrow, I´ll tell you if they have babies or not

Please, don´t give it up! I didn´t think that I would get it, but I did! Now they´re so happy... :)

LOL. That's a classic male dance to entice a female to mate. Petey does that to Juanita. He struts around like a wind-up doll, stops to scratch his beak, struts around some more, flaps his wings, "crows," struts around, scratches his beak.

Meanwhile, she will, grudgingly, do her "airplane" as if to test her readiness. If she isn't ready, she'll threaten him with open beaks. And so it goes.

So, do you have a male and a female, DNA'd, for sure? If not, and until the eggs are proven to be fertile, you really don't know that you have a pair.

"So, do you have a male and a female, DNA'd, for sure?"

Yes :) Unless the DNA test is wrong they´re a pair.

What do they say at the beginning of the horse race: "...and they're OFF!"

Good luck.
